Sonali bio: Sonali Skandan is an accomplished artist and teacher of Bharatanatyam, and one of the more visible artists in the field today. She is a student of C.V. Chandrasekhar and Bragha Bessell and receives creative mentorship from Maya Kulkarni. She has received praise in the New York Times, Financial Times, and The NJ Star Ledger, among others and has presented solo and group Bharatanatyam worldwide to much critical and audience acclaim. About Aishwarya Madhav (Dancer): Aishwarya Madhav (Dancer) is a professionally trained Indian classical dancer, with expertise in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. She is trained under Rema Madhu, and has further advanced her training under N Srikanth. She has performed in more than 60 venues across India and US. About Amrita Doshi (Dancer): Born and raised in Los Angeles, Amrita is now pursuing design and dance in New York. She learned Bharatanatyam with Guru Viji Prakash and has continued to dance nationally and internationally with the Shakti Dance Company. Most recently, she toured in Los Angeles and Singapore for Mythili and Aditya Prakash’s production, Mara. About Bharathi Penneswaran: Bharathi Penneswaran (Dancer) has over 15 years of professional training in Bharatanatyam under Justin McCarthy. She is the co-founder of Aalokam, a Bharatanatyam dance school and company based in NYC. She has produced and performed in several Bharatanatyam recitals in USA, India, France and Canada.
