Bhavana Reddy: Kuchipudi Recital

Bhavana Reddy will be performing at Drive East 2018 on Aug 24 at 8.30 PM DRIVE EAST: Drive East (driveeastnyc.org) is an expansive Indian dance and music festival that features 30+ concerts in just two week. In its sixth year, our week long festival will be in New York from August 13 - 19 and San Francisco from August 22 - 26. It is a festival that regularly features some of the best artists of the year from all over the globe(last year The New York Times mentioned two Drive East artists as the top 10 of 2017) and is an immersive experience into the world of Indian classical arts. Whether you are a seasoned patron or interested in learning more, there is an experience for everyone in this extraordinary festival. Bhavana Reddy, an acclaimed Delhi based Kuchipudi Dancer, younger daughter and disciple of legendary dancing couple Padmabhushans Drs. Raja Radha and Kaushalya Reddy, has a career spanning over two decades. After graduating from New Delhi, Bhavana migrated to Los Angeles, California to pursue an Associate of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance and Independent Artistry from Musicians Institute, Hollywood. Currently, she is pursuing her careers in the two and continues to learn Kuchipudi under her illustrious parents and Carnatic music under the tutelage of Dr. K. Vageesh. For her service to Kuchipudi dance, she has received commendable response worldwide and received accolades such as the YFLO Young Women Achievers Award, Femina North Powerlist Award, Lifetime Award for Contribution to Kuchipudi Dance by Telugu Cultural Association, in Austin, TX to name a few.
