Gateway to Raas 2018

Gateway to Raas is dance competition hosted in St. Louis, Missouri. It features 8 of the nation's most elite Garba-Raas teams coming together for a weekend and putting on a dazzling show at the Sun Theatre, at the heart of Grand Center for the Arts. Garba-Raas is a form of traditional dance from the westernmost state of Gujarat from the country of India. It is performed with traditional garments, but with a modern twist to the dance which has allowed it to flourish on stages and in auditoriums all over the country in the past decade. In 2018, Gateway to Raas will be hosted at the Sun Theatre in the Grand Center for the Arts. It is located just walking distance for the Saint Louis University campus and will be the stage that 8 teams bring forth their passion for this dance, on January 20th.
