Shambhavi Dandekar: Kathak Parampara

Few artists have the power to create an indelible impact on the minds of their audiences through their art form and one such name in the world of Kathak is Shambhavi Dandekar. About Shambhavi: Shambhavi Dandekar is well known as a performer, teacher and choreographer in Indian Classical Kathak dance. She started her training at the age of 4 with her mother and renowned Guru in India, Pandita Maneesha Sathe. She also received intense training in Rhythm from Tabla maestro Taalyogi Pt. Suresh Talwalkar. Shambhavi has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and two Masters in Dance in which she was a topper. She also holds Diplomas in French and Sanskrit languages. She has performed in Japan, China, Middle East, Canada, Australia, Singapore and many reputed dance festivals in India and USA. She is a member of the International Dance Council of UNESCO and a recipient of several awards such as Kalateertha, Bharatashree, Nritya Ratna and the prestigious P.L. Deshpande Youth Award. Shambhavi has 25 years of teaching experience.
