Kalashri School of the Arts celebrates its 25th anniversary with a spectacular evening of Indian dance and music, including Emotions of Sri Krishna, a large-scale work choreographed by Bina Menon. The evening's program will open with Antaram, a mesmerizing dance work featuring legendary, award-winning actress Suhasini Maniratnam along with three of India's greatest classical dance performers. Antaram will incorporate several of the seven forms of classical Indian dance: Bharatanatyam, performed by Krithika Subramanian; Mohiniyattam, performed by Gopika Varma; and Kuchipudi, performed by Yamini Reddy. The program also includes Emotions of Sri Krishna, choreographed by Bina Menon, Kalashri's accomplished founder and artistic director. Sublime music and dance will combine in Emotions of Sri Krishna, a stunning performance that will feature nearly 350 students of the Kalashri School in a collection of colorfully costumed dances that depict popular stories of Lord Sri Krishna.
