Case Kismat Fusion Dance Team

Case Kismat was founded in the summer of 2012 by three students who wanted to express their passion for dance in an all encompassing style: fusion. Shivani Parikh, (CWRU '15), Akash Menon (CWRU '15), and Shriya Kannan (CWRU '15) decided to form this team as an outlet for creative passions and the desire to perform. The blending of various dance styles is a way to bring together different cultures, and to unite students who are passionate about dance and want to share their passions with others. Fusion is an all encompassing dance style. Of the many dance styles in this world, each has it's own distinct songs and movements. Fusion aims to incorporates elements from these styles and blend them seamlessly to create something new, something different. Case Kismat aims to bring this unique style to the Case Western Reserve University campus. Kismat aims to promote global diversity and show that cultures can meld together through dance. By performing at various campus events, Case Kismat spreads cultural knowledge not only here in Cleveland but also at competitions across the nation

Chicago Adaa is Chicago's only CoEd Bollywood Fusion dance team that combines dance styles like Bollywood, Bhangra, Hip Hop, and Classical.

Georgia Tech Qurbani

Qurbani is an all-male fusion dance team that incorporates many unique styles/forms of dancing. These styles include Hip Hop, Contemporary, Bollywood, Bhangra, and a few more! This team is always open to expanding the versatility of dance styles incorporated in routines, because one of the main focuses on the team is transforming each individual on the team to an amazing dancer. We are always looking for individuals with the potential to work hard and grow into the best dancer possible, which means that anyone can try out! Dance experience is not required to join this team, only a diligent personality is! The definition of Qurbani means sacrifice. It is the perfect way to describe our team because all of our team members sacrifice much time in order to put in as much effort possible to help the team reach its potential. There are many dancers on the team that have had no dancing experience before joining and are destroying the stage in every performance.

Sahaara was founded in 2014 and aims to take the drama and glamor from Bollywood films and turn them into explosive on-stage productions. Complete with costumes, props, and unique choreography, these performances integrate the flavor from the east and the modernism from the west to create something that entertains all audiences. We dance to encourage the spread of this colorful culture throughout campus and hope to spark a connection with all who participate.

SLU Shakti is a Bollywood/Fusion dance team, combining the styles of Indian and American dance. It was formed by three passionate students in 2011. After just one year, Shakti was honored to be selected to compete amongst other prestigious teams across the United States. Since then, Shakti has competed in and placed at numerous competitions each year. Theyve traveled to places such as Ann Arbor, Atlanta, Chicago, and Cincinnati. Through hard work and determination they received the opportunity to compete with the best at Bollywood America 2014 in San Francisco. SLU Shakti continues to grow as a competitive team and looks forward to competing for years to come.

UCSD Zor

UCSD's Bollywood Fusion dance team was created in 2001 in the hopes of promoting South Asian dance awareness at UCSD. Since then, the team has been competing all over the nation and has built a reputation for itself as one of the finest fusion Bollywood teams in the nation, and the only team to compete at the international championships, Bollywood America, every year since it's inception.
