- We are Virginia Tech's premiere Garba-Raas team. VT Dhamaal is a co-ed competitive dance team that strives to bring attention and pay homage to the garba/raas folk dance of our ancestors. Founded in 2004, VT Dhamaal works to promote the rich culture and vibrant traditions of Indian dance. Our team showcases their energy and love for garba/raas through on-campus events, various performances and competitions.

- Columbia Raas (est. 2003) is Columbia University's nationally competitive South Asian dance team that celebrates the energy and tradition of the Western Indiandance style, Garba-Raas. Our performances showcase high energy, unique formations, and skillful dandiya maneuvers.CU Raas performs at various venues on and off campus, and competes in Garba Raas competitions across the United States.

- MSU RaaSparty is an 18-member dance team that competes at a collegiate level across the US in a form of Indian dance called Garba-Raas. Through hard work, perseverance and dedication we have gone to competitions in Michigan, Florida, Texas, Indiana, Maryland and Pennsylvania. The MSU Raas Team brings a vibrant, upbeat, and exciting traditional dance to the raas world. Amidst the hectic life of being college students, working towards our careers, and being young adults, we vow to never forget our cultural roots. Through countless hours practicing Raas-Garba dance steps, twirling our dandias, and choreographing synchronized movements, we aim to preserve our heritage and ignite everyones passion for our beloved dance. Sweat, tears, and sacrifice are all present each year to perfect a creative, lively, and colorful dance. MSU Raas is more than a team. We are a family.

NYU Raas Malai

- NYU Raas Malai is New York University's Premiere Garba/Raas Indian Dance Troupe. Founded in 2005, NYU Raas Malai has become one of the top Garba/Raas teams in the country, competing at national inter-collegiate competitions all over the United States. Bringing a distinct New York swagger to the national Raas scene, NYU Raas Malai is as sweet and satisfying our name suggests. A co-ed family of 16 members, NYU Raas Malai always seeks out fun and creativity while keeping the culture of Gujrat alive outside of India.

- DREXEL DANDIYA is the first ever collegiate GarbaRaas team to represent Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the Tri-State area. Drexel Dandiya is the vision of 18 Drexel University students who hope to put Dragons on the map. We wish to join Drexel with our surrounding community and advocate Gujarati, East - Indian, and South Asian culture to our region and soon the nation.

Our mission is to promote cultural diversity through art forms, hoping to connect the East and the West. A lot has changed since our founding, but one thing has stayed the same: our motto. No glitter, no make up... just dance.

ASU Andaaz

- ASU's Andaaz is the university's one and only Bollywood Fusion Dance Team. We emphasize dance, community and culture not only throughout campus, but across the nation as well. We compete nationally amongst many other collegiate teams at other universities throughout North America. Competitions allow for our team to grow as a family while networking with other dancers that are ignited with the same passion for South Asian dance as we are. This is a unique team that teaches dancers time commitment, dedication, and community. We are excited to have you all try out and become part of our family! If you dance, have dance on your mind or in your hearts, we want you to join us!

UCI Zamana

- Zamana is the succesor of UCI's hindi film dance team, Sitaare. The goal of both UCI Sitaare and now UCI Zamana is to develop teamwork, creativity, culture, and organization while entertaining audience members across the nation. Every year, UCI's hindi film dance team travels to different regions of the United States to perform in national competitions as well as different showcases. Sitaare has won several national awards in the past including a 1st place prize at Phillyfest (Philadelphia, PA) and 2nd place at Bollywood Berkeley (Berkeley, CA). Zamana has also had the privilege of going to Bollywood America in both 2010, 2012, and 2015.

Gator Adaa - Fusion Dance Team

- Gator Adaa is the University of Florida's female Bollywood fusion dance team. We are dedicated to display Indian culture through a fusion of Bollywood, contemporary, and classical dancing. We are available to perform at weddings, graduations, sweet 16s, and other social events.

Brown Badmaash

- Our pieces interweave South Asian and Western dance styles, breaking down the boundaries between existing forms of dance and showcasing the musical power of fusion. Bhangra, hiphop, garba/raas, lyrical, bharatanatyam, salsa, Bollywood, breakdancing you name the dance style, and we have someone working on tying it into our next performance.
