- We are a competitive garba/raas dance team, currently the number-2 ranked team in the nation. GW Raas travels all around the US; in just the past year, we traveled to Miami, Texas, and UMD. Past competitions have taken the team to Indiana, Boston, and California.

- The University of Connecticut UConn ThundeRaas is Connecticut's premiere garba/raas team. UConnThundeRaas is a dynamic, passionate, energetic raas team that brings a fresh face to the raas world. Khushbu Patel and Sneha Parikh, founded the dance team in 2009 to bring garba/raas to UConn and to take it to the highest level. Drexel Dandiya is the vision of 18 Drexel University students who hope to put Dragons on the map. We wish to join Drexel with our surrounding community and advocate Gujarati, East - Indian, and South Asian culture to our region and soon the nation.

Tar Heel Raas

- The intended purpose of the Tar Heel Raas is to actively entertain the general public and raise cultural awareness of the traditional West Indian dances, Raas and Garba; we would also represent the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill at national intercollegiate dance competitions and performances. The vision of the group is to collaborate with other universities in order to increase the awareness of Raas and Garba throughout the nation and to create a unified presence of the Gujarati folk dance.
