Queen City Ishaareis UNCC's premier Bollywood fusion dance team! We work to entertain and further educate the community about Indian dance formsand culture through our performances.
Sahaara was founded in 2014 and aims to take the drama and glamor from Bollywood films and turn them into explosive on-stage productions. Complete with costumes, props, and unique choreography, these performances integrate the flavor from the east and the modernism from the west to create something that entertains all audiences. We dance to encourage the spread of this colorful culture throughout campus and hope to spark a connection with all who participate.
Moksha is the University of Maryland's premier Indian classical dance team.As a team of talented and dedicated dancers, we bring together various forms of Indian classical dance to create unique works of performing art. We choreograph all our pieces ourselves, utilizing the expertise and creativity of all the dancers, and apply our traditional steps to contemporary music. Our goal is to raise awareness of our unique art form through performances at the University of Maryland and elsewhere.
