WSU Warrior Jhatka
- Dance
- Bollywood dance is a dance form used in Indian cinema. It is a mixture of styles of dance through which a story related to the film is told. Styles include belly-dancing, Kathak, Indian folk, Western popular and modern, jazz, hip hop, and even contemporary. Songs are pre-recorded in a studio by singers, who have their own fan base, but worked into the plot so that the character has a reason to sing. The lyrics have deep meaning to them and it is promptly important for the actors to express that through graceful movements of the body. As a Bollywood dance team, we put together our own medley of songs from both the East and West. We hope to compete at Bollywood competitions around the United States.
