CMU Jiya
- Dance
- CMU Jiya was reinvigorated in 2016, and is Carnegie Mellon's premier all-girls Bollywood fusion team, combining a variety of different dance styles from hip-hop to classical. Our dancers aim to exhibit our passion for dance and showcase Indian culture. The troupe's members excel at a variety of dance styles and many have been dancing since childhood. The team participates in many on-campus and off-campus performances and is working to compete in the national collegiate circuit.

- Founded in 2011, Rangila Rhythms is an exclusive all girls dance team that fuses together movements of dance from all worlds. Rangila means 'Color' so togetherRangila Rhythms molds diversity unifying all individuals despite differences, creating an extremely unique style of dance. As a fusion team, we attempt to perform all styles and promote our love for dance. These various styles of dance prove to be an expressive medium that allows all team members to bridge their eastern and western cultures together into something meaningful. Dance is the form of art, where the body is used as a method of communication, and Rangila Rhythms strives to build a strong team that will perform stories that simply Wow an audience.

- Welcome St. John's University's RAAZ OFFICIAL fan page! RAAZ is all-female South Asian Dance Team established in 2002 by St. Johns students as an instrument to express their passion for dance. RAAZ encompasses many different styles of dance such as Bollywood, Indian Classical/Semi-Classical, Modern/Contemporary, as well as Hip-Hop. Our purpose is to promote cultural awareness and unity of the various styles of dance, complex techniques, and ageless beauty of South Asian dance. RAAZ has performed at various competitions throughout the nation and tri-state area and we continue to live out our passion for dance by performing and competing around the U.S as we represent the University, South Asian culture, female dancers as a whole.
