Sahaara was founded in 2014 and aims to take the drama and glamor from Bollywood films and turn them into explosive on-stage productions. Complete with costumes, props, and unique choreography, these performances integrate the flavor from the east and the modernism from the west to create something that entertains all audiences. We dance to encourage the spread of this colorful culture throughout campus and hope to spark a connection with all who participate.

The University of California, Davis Hindi Film Dance Team, Lashkara, meaning the spark of light, is an intercollegiate competitive group that strongly values leadership, responsibility, and excellence both academically and on stage. Lashkara was started seven years ago, with the goals of creating lasting friendships, improving the dance skills of each team member, and maintaining a strong sense of South Asian pride on campus. Our performances incorporate jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and Indian classical dance styles alongside energetic Bollywood choreography and captivating storylines.

Wisconsin Surma is the only premiere co-ed Bollywood fusion dance team at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We compete nationally in a series of competitions alongside some of the best schools and teams in the country. We bring students from all levels of experience to perform a routine consisting of a variety of genres in dance such as Contemporary, Hip Hop, Bhangra, Bollywood, and Indian Classical.

Afsana, referring to a short tale or a short story, is based on dedication, passion, hard work and creativity, with the main goal of combining Hindi Film influenced dance and theatrics to create engaging productions with and for members of the student body as well as our community.

UT Saaya is a premiere co-ed fusion dance team at The University of Texas at Austin. Founded in 2008, Saaya has grown into a nationally competing dance team, juxtaposing styles of hip hop, bollywood, bharatnatyam, kathak, and bhangra.

Michigan TAAL is a university of Michigan's premiere all-female south indian dance team.The team prides itself on integrating its member's backgrounds in bhangra,Bollywood,Hip-Hop,Lyrical,Indian Classical ,and more to create diverse and energizing routines. At the heart of the group is a passion for the arts and a pride in our identity .By performing locally and competing across the nation,the team hopes to not only promote the liveliness of Indian Culture, but also challenge the notion that strength and femininity are mutually exclusive.

The BROAD STREET BAADSHAHZ are an all male award winning South Asian Fusion Dance Team, located in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia, PA. The Baadshahz are a nationally ranked fusion team in the nation.Dancers have joined us from all over the Northeast including: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, Delaware and more, specializing in: Bollywood, Bhangra, Classical, Hip-Hop, and Martial Arts.

We are the University of California, Berkeley's co-ed, competitive Hindi Film Dance team! UCB Azaad, referring to "independence or freedom", is excited to bring a fresh, new taste of Bollywood to Berkeley! The team is based on dedication, passion and energy, with the primary goal of creating productions that entertain and motivate audiences to connect with the Bollywood culture. After eight years of collegiate competitions, Azaad has been extremely successful and has entertained audiences nationwide. Combining Indian classical, folk, and modern styles of dance, we take pride in our creative choreography and production elements, as we hope to set the bar higher and higher each year.
