Ali Pervez Mehdi, son of the renowned artist of Pakistan, the late Ustad Pervez Mehdi.
Ali was born in Lahore, Pakistan. He had his training in classical music from his father and his grandfather Bashir Hussain Rahi at a very tender age. When he was 19 years old he received khitab of 'Sur Mani' from 'Prachin Kala Kendra' in Chandigadh in the name of Pt.Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande, an architect of modern Hindustani music.
Ali's official performance was at the age of 16, and since then he has performed and toured around the world, India, Bangladesh, Scandinavia, Russia to name a few countries. Currently residing in Austin Texas, Ali is still pursuing his first 'Love', the love of music.
Ali is not just a singer, but also a composer and lyricist who has an amazing understanding of arrangement. Ali has performed with famous composers like A.R.Rehman, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan to name a few and sung with singers like Hari Haran, Sukhwinder Singh, Sadna Sargam, Chitra. Atif aslam, Indian ocea, rekha bhardwaj, Mika singh, Daler Mehndi and many more. Also Ali recognise by his famous bollywood song "Chadha De Rang" from movie 'Yamla Pagla Deewana, and now Ali is working with his company 'Bossmenn https://www.facebook.com/BossmennOfficial/ producing their rich sound with a Western twist of 80s style synths, along with their dark, lounge-jazzy vibe that appeals to the liking of any music lover. Their improvised, yet structured, style of delivery makes each performance euphoric and uniquely colorful.
