Founded in 2006, Bhangra Empire is a co-ed, award winning dance group based in the Bay Area, California. The team has performed at the White House First State Dinner, hosted by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama to honor the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh. Bhangra Empire made its national television debut on Season 5 of NBCs hit show Americas Got Talent. Bhangra Empire was also featured in the November 2010 issue of Harpers Bazaar alongside First Lady Michelle Obama, as one of her favorite talent groups. Bhangra Empire continues to perform at a variety of events and productions, and maintains a strong presence on the bhangra circuit.
