Blue Jay Bhangra is Johns Hopkins Universitys one and only co-ed bhangra team! With its origins in Indias northwestern region of Punjab, Bhangra is a lively folk dance that has enjoyed immense international popularity in the recent years. Based on a mix of traditional Punjabi music fused with Western styles, modern bhangra features heavy drum beats, colorful costumes, and complex formations.
