Mahima is Mason's first and only Indian Classical Dance Team. We strive to bring the grace and talent of all ancient classical art forms and apply them to the beats of contemporary rhythms. We put together all the music and choreography as a team, using the craft and talent of every single dancer.
In Indian Culture there are Eight "Siddhis", or "Accomplishments", which are said to be the keys to success in life. One of the Eight Siddhis includes "Mahima" which translates to "Glory" or "Greatness" and encourages thinking big and aiming for higher goals. We hope to let our greatness shine through costume, expression, and dance!
