Haricharan, is a trained classical carnatic vocalist and a playback singer based in chennai. He went to P.S.Senior Secondary School chennai and graduated from MNM Jain Engg College and recieved his B.E (computer science) degree from the Anna University, Chennai in 2008. He's currently pursuing his MBA degree from the Pondicherry university-loyola college.
He debuted in films with Shankar's "Kaadal" in Joshua Shridhar's music, delivering 3 instant hits.
"Unakena irupaen" (was nominated for the national awards in 2005), "Thottu thottu yennai" and the theme song.
Following his debut songs which were chartbusters Haricharan has then sung almost 300 songs in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada and Malayalam with leading music directors like Isaignaani Ilayaraja, A R Rahman, Harris jeyaraj, Yuvan shankar raja, Vidyasagar, Karthik raja, Mani Sharma, Deva, Srikanth Deva, Devi Sri Prasad, Pravin Mani, Dhina, Imman, Manikanth kadri, Dharan, Devan Ekambaram.
He has recieved numerous awards like Virtuosa award for the best male new comer and the All India Radio award for the best male playback singer and the LG Sangam award for his debut song "Unnakena irupaen".

Hes a performing carnatic musician with performances all over india with renowned doyens in classical music such as Dr M Balamuralikrishna, Unnikrishnan. He was recently conferred the title of BALA KALA RATNA by bharathiya vidhya bhavan.
Haricharan has a band comprising of 6 members who are renowned musicians in their own ways and also aid leading music directors. He performs Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and popular English numbers. He is known to do shows which involves popular songs in different grooves and giving a new sound to it. Since hes also a trained classical musician he also does fusion concerts for an appropriate audience.
