It is the mission of India Association of New Orleans - IANO to promote opportunities and a positive environment to Louisiana's diverse Indian community to fulfill its needs and aspirations for social and cultural interaction; and to help raise understanding and awareness of Indian traditions, culture and heritage within our diverse Louisiana community.
Our association strives to promote understanding and assimilation with American society and organizations by encouraging a spirit of volunteerism among our diverse Louisiana community. IANO seeks to create and foster relationships with other organizations within the State of Louisiana. As we continue to define new challenges, we invite the participation of our diverse Louisiana community to meet these challenges. IANO is unique in many ways and we have a great future ahead of us.
Our association continues its work of providing service and leadership in cultural, social, educational, professional, and economic endeavors affecting our membership and diverse Louisiana community.
IANO has made much progress in recent years – and much remains to be done. It is with our deepest hope that we pledge to put our association’s best efforts forward to continue to add value to the diverse Louisiana community we serve. It is our sincerest belief we can do better – and we will.
