Lasya Ranjini was started in the summer of 2010. The school teaches Bharatanatyam, a dance form originating in India. Bharatanatyam with its roots in Natya shastra, is a sacred art. Lasya Ranjini not only teaches the form of dancing, but also emphasies the other aspects, like the music, rythm, yoga, worship, sculpture, poetry and beauty. The school, thru lecture demonstrations, story telling and performances helps the students to attain the skill in presenting themselves and be the torch bearers of this beautiful art form.
