The concept of Midwest Dhamaka is different from your everyday Bollywood Fusion Competition. This year, we are proud to be a Bollywood America National Bid Competition.
Our competition presents a unique twist that we think you will love. There will be 8 teams competiting for the top prize but in order to get there, they must pass two difficult rounds. During the first round, the 8 teams will perform their own individual routines. Then the judges will pick the top three teams. However, there will be one wildcard entry, picked by the audience via a texting poll. After the top four are picked, they move on to the second and final round of the competition. During this round, the teams will perform to a different routine. The music of this routine is selected by the Midwest Dhamaka Coordinating Committee and the teams will have the opportunity to create their own mix to the required songs. After this, judges will crown the champion of Midwest Dhamaka, who will receive a bid to compete at National's.
