Preethi Ramaprasad, has been learning classical Indian Dance from Prof. Sudharani Raghupathy (Shree Bharatalaya, Chennai, India) for the last 20 years. Born and raised in the United States, she made annual visits to India to train in dance and teaching from her guru. After being a school teacher in New York City under a prestigious organization, Teach for America, from 2011-2012, Preethi is currently pursuing classical Indian Dance (known as Bharatanatyam) professionally.
