Raasleela is UC Davis's official competitive Raas-Garba team. Founded in 2014, Raasleela incorporates the traditional folk dance styles of Garba and Raas, also known as Dandia. These lively and energetic dances originated in Gujarat, India. As members of the national circuit, Raasleela travels annually to perform at competitions across the country.
Through our passion for dance, we showcase our high energy and uniqueness, as well as entertain and inform the public about this beautiful tradition.
