Jyotsna Vaidee is a dedicated Bharatanatyam dance artist who has immersed herself in the art for over 20 years. She truly believes that the authentic technique of Bharatanatyam is, in fact, a rich language that can be used to communicate and discover themes that are both traditional and contemporary.
Jyotsna is privileged to be studying with world-renowned Gurus Padma Bhushan Prof. C.V Chandrasekhar and abhinaya exponent Smt. Bragha Bessell. Prior to that, she studied with eminent Kalakshetra gurus Aravindans and K.P Kunhiraman & Katherine Kunhiraman.
Jyotsna has given numerous solo performances around the world for organizations including Ragamala Music Society of Canada, Yuva Bharathi, NorthwestFolkLife and at Kartik Fine Arts, Brahma Gana Sabha and others in Chennai, India.
Jyotsna has also performed extensively with acclaimed choreographer Lata Pada in Toronto, at venues such as the National Canada Dance Festival, Ottawa. She has also worked with Contemporary Dance Company NATyA. Jyotsna continues to share her passion for Bharatanatyam via her dance institution in Los Altos, CA.
A multi-faceted personality she holds a Masters in Computer Engineering is currently with Google. She finds that ultimately creativity is the driving force that helps her excel at both Art & Technology
