Shashaa Tirupati, popularly known as The Humma Girl (Singer - The Humma Song) is a multilingual Indo-Canadian singer/songwriter/ performer/ voice over artist more popularly associated with Oscar Recipient, AR Rahman from Coke Studio Season 3 onwards. Her discography includes Mom (O Sona with AR Rahman and Chal Kahin Door), OK Jaanu (The Humma Song/ Sunn Bhavra), Half Girlfriend (Baarish/ Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga), OK Kanmani (Naane Varugiren, Kaara Aattakaara), Mohenjodaro (Sarsariya) midst dozens others.
Shashaa has lent her voice to over 1000 advertisements for brands including Johnson and Johnson, Mango Slice, Slice Mangola, Scooty, Dabur, Garnier, Lakme, Maggi, Yahoo, Pond's, Pears, and Anchor to name a few. She has also sung for UNICEF's Children's Right to Education programme.
She was featured on Coke Studio Season 3 with AR Rahman as part of his Hindustani Choir. She has done playback for Mr. Rahman in his films OK Kanmani, OK Bangaram, Kaaviyathalaivan, Kochadaiiyaan and the album Raunaq and has toured with him for his concerts Rahmanishq, Infinite Love, NEWS7 Global Concert, NH7 Weekender, O2 Arena London, TEDx Talks Vancouver, and the Ai audio launch midst others.
