We seek to provide a forum for the Tamil community, primarily in and around New England/Greater Boston region. TMM shall serve as a cultural, social, educational and charitable organization. The purpose of TMM shall be to encourage people of Tamil ancestral origin with Tamil as their mother tongue, or people who are otherwise interested in the Tamil language, to form an effective and cohesive group, with the objective of retaining, felicitating and fostering the cultural heritage of Tamil language. TMM shall be non-political and non-sectarian. It shall remain secular and shall not discriminate against any person because of his/her religious beliefs or ethnic background. TMM Shall serve the Local and Tamil community in New England/Greater Boston area and also in the region of Tamilnadu, India.
TMM shall be charitable and non-profit as defined under section 501(C) (3). Its income shall be derived from the membership dues, from charitable donations, and grants from members, corporations and other revenue generating functions/fund raising events. Through its various programs and events TMM will strive to cater to the needs of the wider Tamil Community that has made New England/Greater Boston its home.
