The Indian Cultural Exchange (ICE) is the largest multicultural organization at the University of Georgia, and it is housed under the Student Affairs division of Multicultural Services and Programs (MSP), our umbrella organization that serves as a resource to allow us to connect with various organizations on campus via collaborations for events. ICE strives to unite the UGA student body via cultural, social, political, and philanthropic events. We aim to cater to all students and faculty who share an interest in exploring Indian culture, regardless of race. Some of our popular events include, but are not limited to, ICE Cream Social, ICE Tailgate, Diwali Dinner, Coffeehouse, Chai & Chaat, UGA India Night, Field Day, and Holi. We also take pride in supporting our UGA community by partnering with non-profit organizations such as Asha for Education for UGA Asha Garba. ICE conducts Gandhi Week of Service in honor of Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday, and we host philanthropic events in collaboration with other organizations on campus. Our goal is to spread awareness of our Indian culture to the entire UGA community, so we visualize ourselves as a diverse organization that serves UGA as well as the Indian American student population in multiple facets. We hope to provide students with a feeling of unity, mentorships, and lifelong friendships that cultivate through ICE.
