The Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority (CCJPA) assisted the City of Oakland with the development of a mulitmodal station by integrating transportation services from the Capitol Corridor intercity train system (AmTrak) with AC Transit and BART, creating seamless service to the Complex, within 150 yards. The Capitol Corridor train is an intercity passenger train system that provides a convenient alternative to traveling along the congested I-80, I-680 and I-880 freeways.
