Kranti
- Music
- Kranti is Johns Hopkins co-ed South Asian Fusion a cappella group that was established in 2003 with the goal of seamlessly blending both traditional and modern Indian musical forms with contemporary Western songs. The word kranti, in Hindi, means revolution, and to that end, we strive to present a unique vocal combination of the East and West in all of our songs.

Emory Suri A Cappella
- Music
- Founded in 2015, Suri is Emorys first and only Bollywood A Cappella group. Through a fusion of Bollywood songs with American pop, we aim to increase awareness of South Asian culture and music throughout the Emory community and beyond. Since its inception, Suri has performed at various events including First Fridays and South Asian cultural events, as well as hosting our own Fall and Spring showcase. Named after the Persian word for joyous celebration, we look forward to spreading the vibrancy of South Asian music to a greater audience and adding diversity to the A Cappella community.

Hum A Cappella
- Music
- Hum A Cappella was founded in 2001 and is the South Asian a cappella group at the University of Texas at Austin. Hum blends cultures and puts a unique spin on both Hindi and English songs. From its six-member inception, Hum has evolved into a group of highly dynamic vocalists who arrange all of their songs by themselves. We have competed at a variety of local and national competitions including ICCA, Jhalak, Taal, Nasha, Texas Revue, Gathe Raho in Iowa, and Anahat in California. We also perform at weddings and charity events. Hum released its debut album "One Try" in 2002, and we are currently working on producing our sixth album. Our team comes from a variety of musical backgrounds, and our collaboration and appreciation for a cappella music keeps us constantly moving forward.

MIT Ohms
- Music
- We are the Ohms, MITs newest, most electrifying, first-ever South Asian a cappella group! Really, we are a pretty awesome group of people who love punny statements and pride ourselves on having the lowest time commitment on campus. Nevertheless, we have received plenty of praise for our creative arrangements, vocal talent, and upbeat spirit. We have been featured at MITs 150th Anniversary celebrations, MIT Campus Preview Weekend, and at our very first concert (Ohms: Resistance) in March 2011. For us, the Ohms are a family. Though we started as just a really cool idea in Date Room B in McCormick Hall, we are who we are today because of a team effort. Every member of the Ohms has left a lasting imprint on our group, and we have created so many memories together. We collaborate, were efficient, were fun. Were a little bit nerdy and little bit crazy, but that is why we love each other. Above all else, we love to sing and celebrate the richness of our culture.
