Spartan Sur

- Spartan Sur is Michigan State Universitys premier South Asian A Cappella group! The group was created after each of its members all happened to eat at a brand of chemical X filled pani puris. They had an adverse effect and created their addiction to harmonies! Singers by day and crimefighters by night, the singers of Sur are committed to the causes of peace ..and pani puri (Indian delicacy: See also; Delicious)

- Awaaz a Cappella is the premier co-ed South Asian a Cappella team at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. We are a cooperative group of student musicians who bring together the stylings of contemporary English and Indian music to create a truly unique listening experience.

Astha A Cappella

- Astha A Cappella is Saint Louis Universitys premier co-ed, fusion a cappella group. Established in 2006, the group was started by six students who came together to sing Indian fusion music, hang out, and jam. They had faith (astha) in music and Astha A Cappella was born. In three short years, Astha has grown from jam-sessions to complex compositions, from six music-lovers to fourteen talented singers from a variety of backgrounds, all with an interest in singing a diverse mixture of melodies that combines Western and Eastern musical influences.

Dhamakapella

- Dhamakapella is an award-winning coed South Asian fusion a cappella group based in Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. Formed in the spring of 2005 by students Mayank Prasad, Raksha Soore, and Manoj Nair, Dhamakapellas music has been influenced from both Eastern and Western elements, and mixes contemporary Western songs with popular Eastern music. Within the last two years, Dhamakapella has placed and been ranked in three distinct competitions, and released its debut album, Pehli Nazar: First Look.Dhamakapella was formed in 2005 by student Mayank Prasad at Case Western Reserve University. With help from students, Raksha Soore and Manoj Nair, Mayank organized and established the first university-recognized coed a cappella group, which would feature genres from both Western and Eastern cultures.

Umiami Tufaan

- University of Miami has its very own Fusion A Capella group! The name, if you havent heard by now, is UMiami Tufaan.Initially, Tufaan was founded on Hindi-American music but has quickly evolved into a rich culturally diverse performance group incorporating people and types of music from around the world. We have competed on campus and at national competitions, our last one held in San Francisco, California! Recently, we competed at UMs own U Factor competition and took 1st place! We take our music very seriously but have lots of fun doing so.

Maize Mirchi

- Maize Mirchi is the University of Michigan's South Asian inspired a cappella group! We sing a blend of Indian, Western and fusion music. In the a cappella tradition, all of our music is made without instruments, and all of our arrangements are unique and student-written. Our membership consists of undergraduate students with musical experience ranging from classical Indian and Western choral training to "Hey, I sound pretty good in the shower.Founded in 2007 by Suresh Mohan and Arvind Narayanan, Mirchi has since performed at such events as the University of Michigan IASA Show (the largest student-run production in the nation), Dandia Dhamaka (an intercollegiate Raas-Garba competition), and Awaazein (a South Asian A Cappella Competition at UTD). We are also active in the U of M a cappella community and enjoy performing at the yearly "MACFest" and "MAC Charity Fest," concerts featuring multiple on-campus a cappella groups. Mirchi also puts on 2 concerts each year, one per semester.

- Husky Hungama is UCONN's Co-Ed South Asian Fusion Acappella Group! From Katy Perry to A.R. Rahman, we fuse Western music with traditional and modern South Asian music and perform at various events both on and off campus.
