Wreckin Raas

Wreckin' Raas is Texas A&M Universitys official Dandiya Raas team. This team was formed in the Fall of 2009 when 16 dedicated individuals came together with the idea of showcasing our unique cultural art forms in the form of Dandiya Raas throughout the university and across the state. Most people, whether South-Asian or not, are unaware of the vibrant beauty and complexity that exists within this form of dance from our region. We, however, would like to be able to break through and be among the first to bring South-Asian culture to the forefront on our campus as well as to others across the state.

BU Fatakada

BU Fatakada is Boston University's premier garba-raas team. The team was established in fall of 2004 by students who shared a passion and love for traditional Indian dancing. Named the Fatakadas, which in Gujurati means fireworks, the team is constantly explosive with energy, skill, innovative ideas, and a drive for competition.

Ramblin' Raas is Georgia Tech's FIRST and ONLY competitive Garba-Raas team! RR competes nationally and strives to show their passion for dance and the Indian culture through their very expressive emotions and movements on any stage!

Basmati Raas

Welcome to Basmati Raas! With a history of a fun-filled approach to dance, Stanford Universitys Basmati Raas team combines traditional Indian dance moves withcontemporary dance forms and elaborate choreography. Each year, we compete across the country with an unforgettable routine, powerful moves, and a colorful storyline. Since our inception in 2002, Basmati Raas has remained one of the top five garba teams in the country.

Raasleela at UC Davis

Raasleela is UC Davis's official competitive Raas-Garba team. Founded in 2014, Raasleela incorporates the traditional folk dance styles of Garba and Raas, also known as Dandia. These lively and energetic dances originated in Gujarat, India. As members of the national circuit, Raasleela travels annually to perform at competitions across the country. Through our passion for dance, we showcase our high energy and uniqueness, as well as entertain and inform the public about this beautiful tradition.

UConn ThundeRaas

The University of Connecticut UConn ThundeRaas is Connecticut's premiere garba/raas team. UConnThundeRaas is a dynamic, passionate, energetic raas team that brings a fresh face to the raas world. Khushbu Patel and Sneha Parikh, founded the dance team in 2009 to bring garba/raas to UConn and to take it to the highest level. The team strives to bring a new, modern edge to the stage while keeping to its traditional roots. On or off stage, UConn ThundeRaas will RAAS IT OUT

GW Raas
Dance
We are a competitive garba/raas dance team, currently the number-2 ranked team in the nation. GW Raas travels all around the US; in just the past year, we traveled to Miami, Texas, and UMD. Past competitions have taken the team to Indiana, Boston, and California.
