UW Raas
- Dance
- UW DangeRAAS Dawgs was founded in 2009 by two undergraduate students at the University of Washington and is the first collegiate Raas team to represent Seattle, WA. This team aims to promote the traditional dance forms of Garba and Raas. Both are folk dances originating in Gujarat, India and are typically performed during festivals like Navaratri and wedding ceremonies. As a team, we strive to create colorful performances combining traditional Raas with the newly invented form of collegiate competitive Raas.

We perform on campus throughout the year in shows like Ashokas Diwali and WashU's Best Dance Crew. SLU Raas
- Dance
- The Saint Louis University Raas team was formed in 2007 by a group of ambitious students to preserve and promote Gujarati culture. Throughout the years, the commitment and dedication of the team members has allowed SLU Raas to excel from a small unknown team, to a popular and well known team across the nation. SLU Raas has a compiled a very successful track record in the past few years with numerous first places finishes, resulting in multiple invitations to the Best of the Best competition and the Raas All-Stars Championship--where the team took second place in 2010. Although we love having fun and thoroughly enjoy every aspect of the experience, we work extremely hard to create an energetic and exciting routine for our audiences around the country. We look forward to attending as many competitions as possible and meeting some amazing people from different teams throughout the country.

MSU RaaSparty
- Dance
- MSU RaaSparty is an 18-member dance team that competes at a collegiate level across the US in a form of Indian dance called Garba-Raas. Through hard work, perseverance and dedication we have gone to competitions in Michigan, Florida, Texas, Indiana, Maryland and Pennsylvania. The MSU Raas Team brings a vibrant, upbeat, and exciting traditional dance to the raas world. Amidst the hectic life of being college students, working towards our careers, and being young adults, we vow to never forget our cultural roots. Through countless hours practicing Raas-Garba dance steps, twirling our dandias, and choreographing synchronized movements, we aim to preserve our heritage and ignite everyones passion for our beloved dance. Sweat, tears, and sacrifice are all present each year to perfect a creative, lively, and colorful dance. MSU Raas is more than a team. We are a family.
