A.R.Rahman is an Indian film composer, record producer, musician and singer. His film scoring career began in the early 1990s. He has won twenty five Filmfare Awards, four National Film Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, two Grammys and two Academy Awards. Working in India's various film industries, international cinema and theatre, by 2003, Rahman, in a career spanning over a decade, has sold more than 100 million records of his film scores and soundtracks worldwide, and sold over 200 million cassettes, making him one of the world's all-time top selling recording artists. Time Magazine has referred to him as the "Mozart of Madras" and several Tamil commentators have coined him the nickname Isai Puyal ( English: Music Storm).

Udit NarayanUdit Narayan is one of the most popular singers of the Hindi film industry. This multi talented playback singer has sung in numerous films and in many different languages. This great singer was born in a small village named Bharadah in Nepal. His initial years were full of struggles and he started off his career with a brief stint with the Nepal Radio. He used to sing Maithili, Nepali and Bhojpuri songs during the 1970's. By the end of the 70's he moved to Bombay to pursue music under scholarship. He received training in Indian classical music for six years in Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan. Check out his life history with this short biography on Udit Narayanan. In the year 1980, he got his break to sing in a Hindi film when music director Rajesh Roshan offered him to sing in the movie Unees Bees. It was big thing for Udit, as he got an opportunity to sing with his mentor, the great Mohammed Rafi. He was noticed but his real big break came in the year 1988. He sang a very famous song "Papa Kehte Hain" from the movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, which went on to become that year's biggest hit. This song gave him instant stardom and he went on to bag his first Filmfare award. This movie was also the launch pad of actors Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla and female playback singer Alka Yagnik. After the huge success of this movie, Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik sang for movies like Dil and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, which went on to become huge hits. Udit Narayan also tried his hand at acting and did some Nepali movies like Kusume Rumal and Pirati, which were not much successful. But he sang in some of the most famous Nepali movies and became a famous singer in Nepal. Though Udit Narayan was gaining much popularity, he got overshadowed by Kumar Sanu, who another famous Indian playback singer. For five years, though he was nominated in the Best Male Playback singer category, it was Kumar Sanu who finally won. In the year 1995, his career had a turning point when he sang the hit song "Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna" for the movie Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaaenge. The song went on to become a huge hit and won accolades from one and all. He won the Filmfare award for the Best Male Playback singer that year. He won his third Filmfare award the next year itself for the song "Pardesi" from the movie Raja Hindustani. Udit Narayan is one of the most acclaimed singers of the present generation and has been praised by senior and established singers and composers for his original style and voice quality. He is the onscreen voice of the three major superstars of Indian cinema namely Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. Many acclaimed music directors prefer to work with him since he is able to gel with almost everyone and give the exact feel to the song. He is one of the top choices of acclaimed music directors like A.R. Rahman, Nadeem Shravan, Rajesh Roshan, Shankar Mahadevan, etc. He is also a hit with major directors like Yash Chopra, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar. He is a recipient of several awards such as the Nandi Awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. Mano has recorded more than 30,000 songs for various Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Oriya and Bollywood films. He has also performed for over 3000 live concerts across the continents. Javed Ali is a very well appreciated, prolific Indian Playback Singer & Live Performer. He is widely regarded as the Versatile Golden Voice of all time in the Bollywood Film Industry. He is a very fortunate singer, to sing in different genres of music. He is very hard working, purely dedicated and full of determination towards Music. Born and brought up in Delhi, Javed Ali started singing at his early age from his father Ustad Hamid Hussian. Javed started his musical career as a playback singer with Jingles (Advertisements) and title tracks for TV soaps (TV Serials). Then he gradually moved into film music. He got his 1st break as a playback singer in the year 1998 for the film Beti no.1. (music director Mr. Viju Shah). There after Javed Alis musical career started growing by doing playbacks in films like Chameli, Dil Jo bhi Kahey, Hasil, Kyun..ho Gaya Na, Neal n Nikki, Zindagi Rocks, Golmaal etc. In 2006 Javed Alis playback in the film Bunty Aur Babli for the song Kaja Re..Kajra Re was noticed & received well appreciation from music lovers but He came into the limelight when the song Ek Din Teri Rahon main from the film Naqaab released in the year 2007. By the end of 2007 Javed Ali became the talk of the town & he was getting noticed by many music composers for his back to back hit numbers. He came into the touch with Oscar Winner music composer the great A.R Rahaman in the year 2008 & under his music direction in Javed Ali sang the beautiful soulful track called Jashn-e-Bahara in the Epic Film Jodha Akbar. In the same year (2008) Javed Ali became the voice behind Aamir Khan for his film Ghajini by singing a very romantic, soothing track Guzarish under the music direction of the Maestro A.R Rahaman. The Song Tu Muskura from the film Yuvraaj (2008) also got immense popularity. Simultaneously Javed Ali started performing Live with his band all over the world & also he started performing in A.R Rahamans world tour. In the year 2009 Javed Ali delivered many super hit, heart touching songs which are till now in the memory of music lovers. Haricharan, is a trained classical carnatic vocalist and a playback singer based in chennai. He went to P.S.Senior Secondary School chennai and graduated from MNM Jain Engg College and recieved his B.E (computer science) degree from the Anna University, Chennai in 2008. He's currently pursuing his MBA degree from the Pondicherry university-loyola college. He debuted in films with Shankar's "Kaadal" in Joshua Shridhar's music, delivering 3 instant hits. "Unakena irupaen" (was nominated for the national awards in 2005), "Thottu thottu yennai" and the theme song. Ranjit Barot

Ranjit Barot is an Indian film score composer, music director, music arranger, drummer and singer. He has been described by guitar legend John McLaughlin as "one of the leading edges in drumming", and is part of John McLaughlin and the 4th Dimension, touring Europe. Born into a family steeped in Indian classical music and dance, melody and rhythm has always been an integral part of Ranjits life. In 1980 he performed at the Jazz Yatra in Europe with the Jazz Yatra Sextet (with Louis Banks), besides performing with Pandit Ravi Shankar's ensemble on the same tour.This phase saw journeys to Europe and the West with leading Indian jazz/pop and classical musicians. Between 1980 and 1982, Ranjit performed at European festivals. Ranjit has also had a long career in composition and music production, working out of his own state-of-the-art studio facility in Mumbai. He has been a featured drummer and arranger for R.D. Burman, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Kalyanji Anandji, continuing through the eras of Anu Malik and Ismail Darbar, and to the present, as arranger/ producer. Ranjit has been an integral part of some of A.R. Rahmans work through the years. At the Jazz Yatra 80, he performed with the Jazz Yatra Sextet, and also performed with the Pandit Ravi Shankars ensemble, Jazzmine, featuring John Handy, George Adams and Mike Richmond of the Mingus Dynasty. His collaborations with musicians abroad have included unique performances with artists such as John McLaughlin, Jonas Helborg, Ayden Esen, and Tim Garland. Ranjit has released his debut album, titled 'Bada Boom', worldwide in November 2010, featuring musicians from India and the West. This album is a collection of Ranjits Jazz Fusion and World compositions with performances by Ustad Zakir Hussain, John McLaughlin, U. Srinivas, U. Rajesh, Scott Kinsey, Matt Garrison, Wayne Krantz, Dominique DiPiazza, Harmeet Manseta, Taufique Qureshi, Sanjay Divecha, Tim Garland, Gwilym Symcock, Ayden Esen and Elie Afif, to name a few. Ranjit has recently been the Music Composer and Sound Designer for the entire Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010, and is representing India with his Live Performance at the "India Inclusive' showcase at WEF, Davos 2011.

Jonita Gandhi

A Canadian of Indian origin, Jonita Gandhi has been brought up in Ontario, Canada, and has managed to pursue an exciting musical career while completing her education (BHSc and HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario). Now a full-time recording artist/performer, Jonita has several accomplishments under her belt. She made her Bollywood debut iin the title track of the 2013 Blockbuster hit film "Chennai Express" starring India's mega superstars Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. She has also featured on MTV India's Coke Studio Season 3 in Clinton Cerejo's episode. She has recently sung two songs in the film "Highway", with music by A.R. Rahman. Jonita is a versatile singer and performer and has training in Western Classical music. She sings in various genres and languages and continues to aspire to learn more!
